The syringe comprises an elongated tubular duct that has a lumen to distribute the particles towards the target tissue. Preferably the duct has a constant cross-sectional area. The device further comprises a receptacle that holds the particles and a gas discharge chamber upstream of the receptacle. In operation, the gas discharge chamber discharges pressurized gas that has a maximum total pressure of less than 10 bar.
