"DEVICE FOR REDUCING LEVELS OF RESIDUAL SOLVENTS IN EXTRACTED BIOMASS, PROCESS TO REDUCE LEVELS OF SOLVENTS IN EXTRACTED BIOMASS, AND, EXTRACT OF BIOMASS". A process to reduce the levels of residual solvents in an extracted biomass that is contaminated with BFC solvent, includes spreading the biomass extract with a solvent depleting gas, such as air or nitrogen. The apparatus for carrying out the process includes a vessel (12) containing the extract (26) and a source for the gas. The source may be in the form of a hollow movable rod (27) having an outlet for the spreading gas; or a fixed gas inlet to bubble the gas through the extract (26).
