Use of corneal stiffening agents in enzymatic immortocerotology

"USE OF CORNEAL ENRICHMENT AGENTS ENZYMATIC EMORTOCEROTOLOGY". an enzymatic ortho-kerotology method is provided to correct refractive errors in the eye of a mammalian individual. The acceleration of corneal reconfiguration is accomplished by administering a corneal stiffening amount of a corneal stiffening agent to the individual's eye. The correction is carried out under the influence of a rigid contact lens or a series of lenses that have a concave curvature that will correct an error. The cornea quickly reconfigures its convex curvature to the concave curvature of the contact lens, making the eye emetric. The cornea is allowed to "stiffen" to maintain the new emetropic conformation. After the "stiffening" has occurred, braces that make the eye emetropic are removed.
