"METHOD OF ANALYSIS FOR SPECIFIC SPECIFIC CONFORMATIONS OF A PROTEIN RELATED TO VARIOUS DISEASES". The analysis methodology of the invention allows: (1) to determine if a sample contains a conformation of a protein that is associated with the disease and its concentration and quantity, if present; (2) determine the amount of protein related to the protease-resistant disease in a sample and, by subtracting this amount from the total amount of a protein related to the present disease, determine the amount of protease-sensitive disease protein in the sample and ( 3) determine the species and incubation time of a disease-related protein by (i) relating the relative amounts of sensitive and protease-resistant protein to known species to thereby determine the species and (ii) represent the protein concentration protease-sensitive in a plot of incubation time versus protease-sensitive protein concentration for known species to predict the incubation time of an unknown protein species in a sample.
