The therapy device uses a large surface area neutral electrode applied to the body of the patient and a needle-shaped working electrode, the point (15) of which is inserted in a natural body cavity, or an insertion opening, to bring it into the therapy position. The electrodes are coupled to a HF generator with a constant power characteristic and a low output voltage. The working electrode has a fluid channel (17) leading to the point, provided by a metal sleeve (21) with radial rinsing fluid outlets (22) at its distal end and enclosed by a thermostable insulation sleeve (25) with corresponding outlets, or a thermostable coating.
