BIOFUNGICIDAL ACTINOMYCETES STRAIN OF STREPTOMYCES GRISEOVIRIDIS 5-5

This invention pertains to biological plant protection products. A new strain of actinomycetes Streptomyces griseoviridis 5-5 is selected. This strain is characterised as biologically active fungicide for suppressing growth of phyto-pathogenic fungi (for example, (Alternaria, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Microdochium, Monilinia, Rhizoctonia spp.). The selected strain could be used for production of bio-fungicides. The strain is deposited (deposit number P 369) in international depository - Microbial Strain Collection of Latvia (MSCL).
