The implement includes a sound generator for producing signals recognizable by a cow. Either a wireless signal receiver or a loudspeaker is provided near the cow's ears, for reproducing a sound in dependence on the signal. The sound can be such as to be unpleasant to the cow, making it leave the milking parlour (1). If a loudspeaker is used, it can be mounted to an identification collar (22) for the cow. A further signal can be generated to induce the cow to enter the parlour.
