The brake device for roller skates, so-called skeelers and in-line skates makes use of the counterposed rotary direction of the wheels and employs a guide (A) mounted on one of two rear wheels. The skater can then press (B) the foremost wheel of one skate against the rear wheel(s) of thee other skate. Due to the counterposed movement of these wheels, a braking effect is realized.
