The flat material piece (1) for forming a double-walled box by folding comprises a rectangular box base (10) and two double-walled side pieces connecting on opposing longitudinal edges of the box base, each comprising an outermost side wall, of which the lower edge is connected by a fold line with the box base. It has an innermost side wall (40) and a side intermediate piece (30) which on the one hand connects via a fold line (c) with an upper edge of the innermost side wall and on the other hand connects via a fold line (b) with an upper edge of the outermost side wall. A fixture piece (50) connects via a fold line (d) with a lower edge of the innermost side wall and two fixture pieces (60) connect via a fold line (e) to opposing edges of the innermost side wall. At least a part of the upper edge of the fixture pieces extends in the prolongation of the upper edge of the innermost side wall. The innermost side wall on opposite sides is provided with a first coupling component (45).
