Disclosed is a method of forming a cuff (14) on a section of tubular pipe (10) which defines first and second ends and inner and outer surfaces. The method comprises the initial step of applying an outer layer of polymer (42) material to a portion of the outer surface of the pipe (12) such that a portion of the outer layer (42) extends beyond and covers the first end of the pipe. Thereafter, an inner layer of polymer material (46) is applied to a portion of the inner surface of the pipe. The inner layer (46) is then blended into the outer layer (42) so as to define a bull nose (44) of the cuff (14) which extends beyond the first end of the pipe (10).
