Oxygen distribution bodies (19-22) are used to distribute the incoming oxygen over a large part (preferably all) of the air inlet surface (17, 18) of the moisture heat exchange bodies (5, 6). The heat exchanger comprises moisture heat exchange bodies inside a casing (1-3) with parts (11-13) for connecting it to the tracheal channel. Each moisture heat exchange body has an inlet surface exposed to the air being inhaled. The casing is also provided with oxygen supply parts (14-16, 23) which have an inlet (23) for connecting to an oxygen line and also have an outlet communicating with each air inlet surface in the moisture heat exchange bodies.
