The sorting machine, to clean a fiber suspension, is a double machine with a rotor, and a fixed cylindrical sieve body where the fiber suspension is fed into its interior. The zone for the filtered suspension and the outlet for rejected matter are outside the sieve cylinder. The sorting assembly, to clean a fiber suspension, has a suspension feed which is aligned axially through the rotor. The section of the rotor at the drive side is at a height level which is equal to or greater than at the other rotor section. The fiber suspension feed can be at the center, from the side.
