This is a device for objective measurement of the improvement of optical quality of the eye. The invention consists of a device that determines the quality of the retinal image completely and objectively before and after the improvement procedure has been carried out. It comprises a point source (Fig. 1, O) from a laser beam linked to a fibre optic (Fig. 1, 9) whose image (Fig. 1, O') is formed on the retina of the eye. The light reflected by the retina is registered by means of a CCD camera (Fig. 1, 1) and represented as an aerial view of the retinal image (Fig. 1, O'').
