The box (1), designed to contain various electrical modules such as terminals, fuses and relays in a motor vehicle, is held in place by an inverted U-shaped clamp (3) fixed to the bodywork of the vehicle, the side pieces (5) of the clamp having holes (6, 9) to receive matching bosses (7, 10) on the surfaces of the box. One pair of bosses is in the form of pivots allowing the box to hinge relative to the clamp, while another pair is in the form of stops to limit relative movement. The upper section of the clamp has a slot (11) for a centering boss (12) on the box which also reduces vibrations and noise.
