Diagnostic kit specifically for leishmaniasis caused by 'Infantum Leishmaniasis' through the PCR-ELISA technique.'Infantum Leishmaniasis' is the only etiological agent from leishmaniasis in Spain and the majority of European Mediterranean countries. There are various techniques that are usually used to diagnose leishmaniasis these however give rise to a series of fundamental problems when diagnosing both human and canine leishmaniasis. The purpose of the 'Diagnostic kit specifically for leishmaniasis caused by 'Infantum Leishmaniasis' through the PCR-ELISA technique' is to improve sensitivity and specificity of leishmaniasis diagnostic techniques that are currently used, thus overcoming the existing problems. The kit is based on the usage, in a PCR, of chokes (9 and 83) that amplify a specific section of Infantum Leishmaniasis and an ELISA, of an internal oligonucleotid probe, marked with biotins, that hybridise with the amplified fragment in a specific way.
