Process for preparing embryos equines for cryopreservation, which process comprises preparing the embryo, after collection, by subjecting it to the action of agent (s) cryoprotectant (s), and then to condition it in a receptacle prior to submission to the operation cryopreservation itself, characterized in that, before subjecting said embryo to the action of agent (s) cryoprotectant (s), to give suffer an appropriate treatment to eliminate the embryonic capsule, or to increase the permeability of this capsule, with in order to reinforce the subsequent action of said cryoprotectant agents or such.
