The invention provides an operation rightinterlinking method and a cooperative working methodwherein, when a plurality of shared application programsoperate cooperatively with each other to effect acooperative work, operation rights of the sharedapplication programs are always possessed by a sameterminal so that a work can be performed efficientlywithout an inconsistency. To this end, the operationrights of the shared application programs are controlledin an interlinking relationship with each other. When arequest for an operation right is issued to a firstapplication program of a first terminal, the firstapplication program requests a first application programof a second terminal for transmission of the operationright and sends an operation right change notificationto a second application program of the first terminalwhose operation right is to be interlinked with thefirst application program. Upon reception of theoperation right change notification, the secondapplication program of the first terminal requests asecond application program of the second terminal basedon the operation right change notification.
