A method of making a polypropylene textured releasesheet for use in texturing decorative laminates, includesproviding the polypropylene release sheet with texturingduring the initial making of the sheet, while thepolypropylene is still above its softening temperature.A decorative laminate lay-up includes a plurality ofthermosetting resin impregnated layers having a toplayer, with the textured polypropylene release sheetoriented adjacent the top layer. A method of forming atextured decorative laminate includes application of heatand pressure to the lay-up sufficient to form a textureddecorative laminate.
