PARALLEL-FED NONSTAGNANT INTEGRATED WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK FOR DOMESTIC WATER AND FIRE SPRINKLER APPLICATION

An integrated water distribution network supplies therequirements of both domestic and fire sprinkler waterfixtures in a dwelling structure. The network includes aplurality of multiport fittings which are interconnectedtogether with flexible conduits. A conventional fire sprinkleris also coupled to the multiport fittings. The network issupplied water by a plurality of water supply lines whichoriginate at a manifold. Individual water fixtures areconnected to the distribution system through flexible lines.During use of a water fixture, water flow through essentiallythe entire system is established. The distribution system canthus be characterized as a "nonstagnant" water network.
