The invention relates to a stoves for cooking foodwith a viewing window, and a viewing window for householdappliances, such as cooking stoves ovens, which windowcan be mounted in a wall of the housing of the stove forcooking food or the household appliance such as a cookingstove or oven, and which window is comprised of at leasttwo transparent panes arranged at a distance from oneanother, whereby between the two transparent panes thereis contemplated a screen, or blind, which covers, orcloses, the viewing area, and which screen is adjustablefrom the exterior of the appliance.
