An apparatus (10) for curing an applied coating on a surface of a panel (12) of material, the panel (12) having a width and a length, the apparatus (10) including delivery means (23) for delivering a local atmosphere to the surface of the panel at a controlled velocity and at a controlled angle of impingement to the surface and across substantially the entire width of the panel; and movement means (18) for effecting relative movement between the delivery means (23) and the panel (12) in the direction of the length of the panel to expose the entire length of the panel (12) to the local atmosphere delivered by the delivery means (23).
