The invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used to cure child's and adolescent myopia. The inventive method consists in using a spiruline preparation in a quantity of 0.5-1.0 g three times per day. Said preparation is orally applied 25-20 minutes prior to meals, per os, during 1 month. A refresher course of treatment is repeated in three months. The inventive preparation improves the metabolic and immunological state of the organism, thereby stabilising the myopia, improving functions of the visual organ with respect to said pathology. The inventive method makes it possible: 1) to prevent the progression of myopia; 2) to stabilise the child's and adolescent myopia; 3) to improve the functions of the visual organ of children and adolescents.
