Multiple projectors, each preferably of a .9 inch (or larger) 1365 x 1024 pixel (or greater) active matrix liquid crystal type located in an array, serve to project a common light: typically a single 1.6 kW xenon arc, incandescent High Intensity Discharge (HID) or laser light as may optionally pass through dichroic filters; to produce from multiple tiled segments: each typically twenty-one inches (21") in the diagonal; a high-resolution; normally 75 dpi or greater; seamless ultra-bright large or very large image, normally some meters or greater in diagonal measurement. Use of the single light source accords uniform and stable: (i) illumination intensity; (ii) color temperature; and (iii) color balance between and throughout all image segments, giving a high quality composite image suitable for scientific research, control rooms or electronic cinema. The light is preferably conducted to the multiple projectors through light pipes, preferably made of bundled optic fibers. Each projected image tile preferably passes through a fresnel lens, preferably a holographic fresnel lens.
