The present invention discloses a new polypeptide- human I class aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase 10, the polynucleotide encoding it and a method producing the polypeptide by recombinant DNA technology. The present invention further discloses a method using the polypeptide to treat various disorders, e.g. various tumors, protein metabolism disorders etc.. The present invention also discloses an antagonist of the polypeptide and its therapeutic use. The present invention further discloses the use of the polynucleotide encoding the new human I class aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase 10.
