The present invention disclose a new polypeptide- human lymph enhanced factor 42, the polynucleotide encoding it and a method producing the polypeptide by recombinant DNA technology. The present invention furhter disclose a method of using the polypeptide to treat various disorders, e.g. cell immunodeficiency disease, member developmental abnormality etc.. The present invention also disclose an antagonist of the poyleptide and its therapeutic use. The present invention further disclose the use of the polynucleotide encoding the new human lymph enhanced factor 42.
