The invention pertains to novel insecticidal compounds derived from iBacillus thuringiensis/i strains. New proteins designated Cry1Jd, Cry9Fa, Cry1Bf, and insecticidal fragments thereof are provided, as well as DNA sequences encoding these proteins or their insecticidal fragments. Further provided are recombinant hosts expressing such proteins, particularly plant cells and plants.
