A chimeric mouse is constructed by transferring human CD34-positive cells (hematopoietic stem cells) into an SCID mouse. In this chimeric mouse, hematopoietic stem cells continuously differentiate into immune cells. Owing to this characteristics, the chimeric mouse can be immunized over a long time, which makes it possible to obtain a human antibody against an arbitrary antigen containing a human self-component.
