The invention discloses a new polypeptide-human interleukin-13 (IL- 13) receptor 11, the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide, and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant DNA technology. It also discloses methods of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various diseases, such as immune disorders, HIV infection, inflammation, tumor and hemopathy. This invention alsodiscloses antagonist against said polypeptide and thereof therapyuses. In addition, it refers to the use of said polynucleotide encoding this new human interleukin-13 (IL-13) receptor 11.
