The invention discloses a new polypeptide-human Epilepsy-associated protein 11, the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide, and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant DNA technology. It also discloses methods of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various diseases, such as malignancy, hemopathy, HIV infection, immune disorders, and inflammation. This inventionalso discloses antagonist against said polypeptide and thereof therapy uses. In addition, it refers to the use of said polynucleotide encoding this new human Epilepsy-associated protein 11.
