DEVICE FOR MODULATING THE ACTIVATION ENERGY IN MASS-SPRING OSCILLATORS

The invention relates to a device for modulating the activation energy for activating a forced periodic oscillation in a mass-spring oscillator (300, 302, 306, 308) and concerns those oscillators, whereby a useful energy for work purposes, for example for compacting work is transmitted. Two energy converters, driven by two dedicated drive motors and working in a rotating manner are provided, which (for example, by means of two cam drives, each with a driven piece moving translationally) generate periodic, differing energy amounts (∫(δ1), ∫(δ2)), depending upon the rotation angle (preferably according to a sinusoidal function). The differing energy amounts are fed to a combination point (312) and vectorially combined there to give the resulting activation energy amounts, which are finally fed to the vibrator for activation thereof. The drive motors may be adjusted, relative to each other and the rotating position thereof, about a phase angle, whereby, by means of an adjustment of the phase angle between 0° and 180°, a continuous adjustment of the activation energy from zero to a maximum value is possible.
