Method and apparatus for progressif bending of glass sheets

A method is for the progressive bending of windows, in which the windows heated to bending temperatures are gradually bent in a horizontal position into the definitive shape in at least two successive bending stations. They are raised by aspiration in the last bending station with the convex bent shape uppermost and are arranged on a displaceable carrying frame. The windows are transported, whilst placed on a support sheet mounted flexibly on a rigid carrying frame, through the bending installation and are bent conjointly with the support sheet that adapts the shape of the windows. The device used to put this method into service is also claimed. It comprises a pre-bending station (10), a final bending station (20) and a carrying device for transferring the window between these stations. The carrying device is made up of a rigid carrying frame (30) and a support sheet (31) mounted flexibly on the carrying frame.
