The simulation method involves determining an electromagnetic field of an object which includes several sections and several charges and currents. A global multi-pole development which presents the effect of the charges and currents of remote points, and a local multi-pole development which presents the effect of the loads and currents at points within each section are produced in form of a multi-pole development in each of the several sections. The electromagnetic field of the object is determined through a superimposition of the global multi-pole development and the local multi-pole development of the several sections.
