The method involves determining individual cylinder filling differences using a relationship containing individual cylinder air ratios and individual cylinder torque coefficients as variables. A value of one is preferably set for the air ratio of each cylinder and filling differences are derived from torque differences, preferably using a proportionality between the torque and filling differences. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for determining individual cylinder control parameter differences for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine.
