摘要
The invention relates to stowage pieces (26, 28) which serve to prevent the horizontal displacements of containers placed on board ships. When stowing 20-foot containers (20) in a stack or in a cell for 40-foot containers, two 20-foot containers (20) are successively coupled, in a longitudinal direction, to one another at their corner fittings (21, 22) that are oriented toward one another in order to form a 40-foot container unit. To this end, particular double stowage pieces (26) are used. These stowage pieces (26, 28) must be placed on upper corner fittings (21) of the container already stowed on board the ship before the next containers are stowed. This requires the use of auxiliary staff on the containers already stowed on board the ship which no longer adheres to present safety regulations. The invention provides that the stowage pieces (26, 28) are already locked, while on land, under lower corner fittings (22) of the 20-foot containers (20), and the containers, especially two interconnected 20-foot containers (20), are subsequently placed on the containers already located on board the ship, whereby the lower stowage cones (31, 35) of the stowage pieces (26, 28) are loosely inserted into the upper corner fittings (21) of containers located underneath without the stowage cones (31, 35) of the stowage pieces (26, 28) locking, in a vertical direction, with the corner fittings (21) of the containers located underneath. As a result, it is no longer necessary to use auxiliary staff on board the ships when stowing the containers, whereby adhering to safety regulations.
