The electromagnetic relay has an iron core 1, an amateur 2, a coil 12 wound around the iron core 1, a yoke 3, a hinge spring 6, and a coupling structure. The yoke 3 is firmly fastened to the iron core 1 and has a coupling hole 3b and fitting portions 3a and 3d. The hinge spring 6 is used to rotatably support the armature 2 on the yoke 3 and the coupling structure is used to couple the hinge spring 6 to the yoke 3 in the electromagnetic relay. The hinge spring 6 has a tongue portion 6a and a dish portion 6b, and the yoke 3 has a coupling hole 3b and a coupling portion for engaging the tongue portion 6a and the dish portion 6b. It has fitting parts 3a and 3d. The hinge spring 6 is coupled to the yoke 3 by inserting and inserting the hinge spring 6 into the yoke 3. This structure is used to simplify the process of assembling the hinge spring to the yoke and to reduce the number of assembly steps required. Furthermore, in the solvent intrusion prevention structure of the electromagnetic relay, the coil bobbin 4 is formed integrally with or separated from the base block 9 and air trapped in the center hole in the coil bobbin 4 is discharged. The discharge portion 4c is formed in the upper flange 4b of the coil bobbin 4. Therefore, the sealing operation of the base block of the electromagnetic relay can be executed smoothly and a pinhole-free sealing can be provided.
