PURPOSE: An auction method of a used car through online is provided to be capable of requesting an auction by delivering a car to a nearby auction chain store in terms of a car seller and of suitably evaluating a car while participating in the auction through Internet in terms of an auction participator. CONSTITUTION: In an auction step, a car seller request the auction of a car and delivers the car to one of auction chain stores. In a car check step, the auction chain store checks the car to prepare a check list of predetermined format and transmit the check list to an auction server. In a car identification step, the server stores the information related to the car in a car DB and identifies whether the car is suitable to the auction. In an auction preparing step, auction schedule is determined, items related to the auction are stored in an auction schedule DB, and the auction schedule is informed to respective auction chain stores. In a participation informing step, participation in the auction is informed from the chain stores to the auction server. In an auction procedure step, the auction for the car is processed through Internet in case that the number of the chain stores exceeds minimum number. Finally, the fee for the car are paid between a successful bidder and the car seller.
