A SAFTY DEVICE OF BLOOD BAG FOR PREVENTION OF TRANSFUSION ACCIDENT

PURPOSE: A safety device of blood bag for use in preventing transfusion accident is provided to prevent an unconcerned person from transfusing by mistake and minimize an injury of lives caused by transfusion accident. CONSTITUTION: The safety device of blood bag(402) for use in preventing transfusion accident comprises a locking tool inducible to an electromagnetic force. Blood which is subjected to Cross-Matching experiment is infused into the safety device(402). Bar code label(401), on which is recorded information about patient to be transfused and blood for transfusing, is attached to the safety device. An electromagnetic rod(301) of bar code reader(302) reads information recorded on the bar code label(401) and determine whether the information is consistent with the subject patient. A locking function of safety device is released and transfusion is accomplished, only when the information is consistent with the subject patient.
