PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring and controlling a multifunctional communication office using an embedded-type operating system is provided to decrease the space of the communication office and save the maintenance cost of the communication office by being mounted on an internal portion of a power supply device and being embodied as a small built-in type module. CONSTITUTION: A power supply unit(210) has a rectifier and a condenser, converts a commercial AC power into a DC power using the rectifier, supplies a necessary power to various loads installed in a communication office, and charges a part of power to the condenser. A power control unit(220) monitors a power supply state in the communication office to convert the monitored value into digital data, and controls the operation of the power supply unit(210) so that the power of the condenser is automatically supplied when generating the failure of the rectifier. A sensor monitoring unit(230) is connected with one or more environment monitoring sensors installed for monitoring the environment of the communication office, and digitalizes a signal regarding an environment state in the communication office and provides the digitalized signal to an agent unit(240). The agent unit(240) stores and manages data regarding the power supply state and environment state in the communication office through the power control unit(220) and the power control unit(220) as an MIB(Management Information Base) data, and converts a video signal of the communication office photographed by a monitoring camera(130) to be reproduced by a video reproducer. The agent unit(240) transmits the MIB data to a management server of a monitoring center through a TCP/IP network according to an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol), and responds to the request of an external client to transmit the MIB data and the converted video signal according to an HTTP(Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol).
