METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN INDIVIDUAL POST-OFFICE BOX SERVICE USING UMS CTI AND INTERNET

PURPOSE: A method and system for providing a personal mailbox service using a UMS(Unified Messaging System), a CTI(Computer Telephony Integration) system, and the Internet is provided to integrate contact for a user's telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and actual address into a single number by offering telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and actual address to receive postal matter through an allocated mailbox. CONSTITUTION: A web server receives a mailbox owner's registration information through the Internet. An application server receives the input information from the web server, stores it in a database, creates more than one mailbox number to be allocated to the owner's mailbox, and transfers them to the web server. Also the application server extracts information for a mailbox number, received from a mailbox user, from the database. An ARS(Automatic Response System) receives a mailbox user's request, leads him to input a mailbox number, and provides information transferred from the application server to him. A CTI system extracts a mailbox number inputted through the ARS and transfers it to the application server.
