PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for aligning a microwave antenna using a laser beam are provided to improve the operation efficiency by controlling exactly and easily the microwave antenna for interoffice trunk. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam emitting unit(20) is installed on microwave antennas(10A,10B) for interoffice trunk of one of two switching offices and emits a laser beam toward the microwave antennas(10A,10B) for interoffice trunk of the other switching office. A trigger fixing unit(30A) fixes the laser beam emitting unit(20) on a center of the microwave antennas(10A,10B) for interoffice trunk of the switching office so as to direct the laser beam emitting unit(20) to the other switching office. A laser beam detecting unit(40) is installed on the microwave antennas(10A,10B) for interoffice trunk of the other switching office and measures and confirms the receipt and position of a laser beam emitted from the laser beam emitting unit(20).
