PURPOSE: A method for payment in the electronic commerce is provided to prevent damage due to hacking and to secure convenience and stability for a user by removing verification and registration processes and deleting user information from a shopping mall or a computer. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a user attaching a card reader to a user computer and connecting to an Internet shopping mall(S110,S120), the user inputting password and selecting a payment method after purchasing articles(S130), the user inputting user card information via the card reader(S150), transmitting the encoded card information to a card information input section on the screen of the shopping mall by TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) transfer(S160), generating the card information as a pure value via a decoding program(S170), transmitting the value with password, purchase information and ID(Identification) number of the card reader to a VAN(Value-Added Network) company(S180), a card company informing the result value to the VAN company(S210), the shopping mall server outputting an approval value to the screen of the user computer(S220), and the user confirming the result(S230).
