TOOTH PASTE COMPOSITION FOR GUM PROTECTION COMPRISING CHITOSAN AND NATURAL SALT

PURPOSE: A toothpaste composition containing chitosan having an antimicrobial action on microorganism in the mouth and natural salt is provided, which has preventing effects on tooth decay and periodontal disease and offers an improved cool feel effect and refreshing feeling. CONSTITUTION: The toothpaste composition contains 0.01 to 2.0% by weight of chitosan, 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of natural salt, 20 to 60% by weight of an abrasive agent, 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of a swelling agent, 0.5 to 3.0% by weight of a foaming agent, 0.5 to 1.0% by weight of a sweetening agent, and 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a perfume.
