TOOTH PASTE COMPOSITION AGAINST PARADENTAL DESEASE COMPRISING CHITOSAN AND ORIENTAL HERB MEDICINE EXTRACTS

PURPOSE: A toothpaste composition containing chitosan and a medicinal plant extract having an antimicrobial action on microorganism in the mouth is provided which has preventing effects on tooth decay and periodontal disease and offers an improved cool feel effect and refreshing feeling. CONSTITUTION: The toothpaste composition contains 0.05 to 2.0% by weight of an extract of a mixture of Glycyrrhizae Radix, green tea, Herba cum Radice Asari, Ledebouriellae radix and Angelicae Dahuricae radix, 0.01 to 1.0% by weight of chitosan, 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of natural salt, 20 to 60% by weight of an abrasive agent, 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of a swelling agent, 0.5 to 3.0% by weight of a foaming agent, 0.5 to 1.0% by weight of a sweetening agent and 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a perfume.
