PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent the engine stall and idle rpm drop at vehicle stop and make the air amount compensation to promptly correspond during the deceleration that the load varied continuously. CONSTITUTION: A preventing method of the engine stall and idle rpm drop at vehicle stop includes the steps of : deciding that the vehicle is accelerating or decelerating when the vehicle is idle(S2); comparing whether the target idle RPM(N0) on vehicle stop and the target idle RPM(N1) at accelerating or decelerating are same, and real RPM(N) and the target idle RPM(N1) at accelerating or decelerating are same(S3,S4); and deciding that the time(T) until the real RPM(N) and the target idle RPM(N1) at accelerating or decelerating are same and the predetermined time are same so that the target idle RPM(N0) on vehicle stop and the target idle RPM are same(S5,S6).
