automatic Function-Embedded Listening Skills in a listening program

PURPOSE: A function-embedded listening skill is provided to enhance an English listening effect by making the function-embedded listening skills into an automatic function in a computer program, thereby automatically adapting a level of each English learner. CONSTITUTION: A database is constructed based on words possessed in a function-embedded listening skill. The function-embedded listening skills database is stored in software in advance. An English learner loads an English voice file for a study. A text of the English voice file is loaded. A selection is performed for converting the text into a function-embedded listening skill form. If a function-embedded listening skill is selected, words stored in the function-embedded listening skill database in the text are selected. Portions positioned by the selected words are displayed as a symbol or a space. The English learner listens to the English voice file and writes an answer on the displayed symbol or space. It is checked whether the answer is the correct answer. If the answer is the correct answer, the answer is stored in a correct answer database. If the answer is not the correct answer, the answer is stored in an incorrect answer database. If the answer is the correct answer and a condition is satisfied, the answer is removed in the function-embedded listening skill database. If the answer is not the correct answer and a condition is satisfied, the answer is appended in the function-embedded listening skill database.
