PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for generating a motion data file through motion capture are provided to set a sensor at each of parts of the human body and offer data detected by the sensor to a computer. CONSTITUTION: A motion capturing apparatus includes a sensor whose resistance value is varied when a person(100) who puts on the motion capturing apparatus makes a motion, and in-out box(140) for receiving the resistance value from the sensor. The apparatus further includes an A/D converter card(151) for receiving data from the in-out box and converting the data into digital data, and a gyro(120) for sensing the rotation and movement of the person. The apparatus also has a gyro-processor(130) for controlling the gyro, and an adaptor(160) for providing power to the in-out box and gyro-processor.
