IRIS RECOGNITION METHOD FOR IRIS RECOGNITION SYSTEM USING BOTH OF THE EYES

PURPOSE: An iris recognition method simultaneously using the iris of both eyes is provided to reduce the comparison and search time for the iris recognition, to simplify a camera to obtain the iris image, and to reduce the error occurrence by comparing both irises with a previously registered data. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of obtaining the image of both irises at the same time, detecting the iris area of respective eyes from the obtained iris images, comparing the previously registered database with the iris image data of both eyes, and outputting a verification result according to the comparison result.
