PURPOSE: Provided is a process for producing Houttuyniae Herba liquor which has detoxification and antibacterial effects, and thus is useful for the protection of liver. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing Houttuyniae Herba liquor comprises the steps of: collecting leaves and stalks of Houttuyniae Herba and washing them with fresh water; heating the leaves and stalks of Houttuyniae Herba to prepare the extract of Houttuyniae Herba; preparing an undiluted grain alcohol having alcohol content of 22 to 30%; mixing the extract of Houttuyniae Herba and the undiluted grain alcohol; and maturing the Houttuyniae Herba alcohol mixture by storing it at cool temperature for an appropriate time.
