SYSTEM DETERMINING OF LOCATION AND POSTURE IN MOBILE RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING GPS AND INS

PURPOSE: A system for deciding a location and an attitude in a mobile communication system using a GPS(global Positioning System) and an INS(Inertial Navigation System) is provided to obtain correct information by using an additional GPS antenna and a dead reckoning sensor. CONSTITUTION: A radio mobile communication terminal(30) has an antenna for receiving RF(Radio Frequency) signals from base stations. The RF signal is transmitted to a pre-amplifier(38) through a duplexer(37). The RF signal is transferred from the pre-amplifier(38) to a down converter(39). An A/D converter(40) converts the RF signal to a digital signal. A DSP(41) performs a signal processing operation for the digital signal. The processed digital signal is inputted into a control processor(42). An INS sensor portion(31) is formed with a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyro A GPS reception portion(34) has a GPS antenna for receiving a GPS satellite signal from a GPS satellite.
