Virtual Reality Teaching materials System using Internet and Method of Learning thereof

PURPOSE: A virtual reality education system and method is provided to construct a virtual reality education database with various objects, for example, articles, animals or plants, and to enable a user to get an education service while searching for, rotating, zooming in or out, assembling or disassembling the objects, browsing related images or listening to related sounds. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a user computer(120), a web site(130), a web server(140), an education database(150), a textbook database(160), an encyclopedia database(170), and a school database(180). The web server(140), connected to the web site(130), manages virtual reality education data on various publications. The education database(150) includes a virtual reality database(152), a text database(154), a sound database(156), and a moving picture database(158). The virtual reality database(152) stores contents of various publications classified by subjects, namely all the objects included in the publications. The text database(154) stores the text data on the contents included in the virtual reality database(152). The virtual reality database(152) has a structure for enabling the user to enlarge or compress the images of the objects, to rotate the images by an arbitrary angle, to disassemble the objects in detailed pieces or to assemble the objects.
